To migrate your account to another kingdom in Avatar: Realms Collide, you must satisfy account-state prerequisites, purchase the required migration tokens, and ensure your target server accepts incoming transfers. Migrating without proper preparation can result in the permanent loss of loose resources and leave your base vulnerable on an unfamiliar server.
Server Migration Requirements and System Checks
Before the migration interface lets you confirm a transfer, your account must meet four mandatory conditions:
| System Check | Requirement | Required Action |
|---|---|---|
| Alliance Status | No active membership | Resign your rank and leave your alliance. |
| Troop Deployment | Zero active dispatches | Recall all gathering, scouting, and reinforcing marches. |
| Hospital Status | No wounded units | Heal all injured troops in your infirmary. |
| Loose Resources | Must not exceed storehouse limit | Spend or donate unprotected open food, wood, stone, or gold. |
Any open resource sitting above your warehouse protection cap is wiped automatically upon confirming a transfer. Packaged resource tokens stored inside your bag are safe and will not be erased.
Server Eligibility and Entry Restrictions
Kingdoms do not maintain open borders at all times. Transfers are governed by server lifecycle stages and kingdom-level caps:
- Server Age and Stage: You can only relocate to servers within the same regional season timeline or those that have finished their introductory development cycles. Moving into brand-new servers is restricted.
- Immigration Caps: Each server has an incoming player quota during a transfer window. Once the cap fills, immigration locks until the next cycle opens.
- Power Ceilings: Target servers may set combat power limits. If your total power exceeds a kingdom's unrestricted limit, you cannot enter without explicit leadership approval or an uncapped window.
- Transfer Cooldown: Every migration triggers an account cooldown. You cannot immediately jump back or switch servers again if the destination kingdom proves unstable.
How to Prepare and Minimize Token Costs
The number of transfer tokens (passports) required to migrate scales directly with your total combat power. Higher power brackets demand significantly more tokens, creating a steep cost barrier.
To optimize your transfer and protect your progression:
- Trim Inflated Power: Low-tier troop bloat inflates your total combat power without providing real combat utility. Dismissing obsolete low-tier units can drop your account into a lower power bracket, reducing the total token count needed.
- Deplete Open Resources: Spend all unprotected stockpiles on building upgrades, technology research, or high-tier troop training before initiating the transfer.
- Leave Bagged Items Untouched: Keep inventory resource chests sealed until after your city lands in the new kingdom.
- Secure an Alliance in Advance: Contact leadership on the target server prior to migrating. Arriving unaligned makes your city an immediate target for local players and blocks you from alliance territory protections.
Immediate Post-Migration Actions
Once your city spawns on the new server, secure your position before resuming regular play:
- Pop a Peace Shield: Apply a shield immediately if you spawn in an active combat zone or during a cross-server event.
- Relocate to Alliance Territory: Use a targeted or alliance teleport to move onto your new guild's territory to access gathering bonuses and defense reinforcement.
- Review Server Rules: Check local server regulations regarding resource tile farming and Kill Event boundaries to avoid unintentional conflicts with dominant alliances.
- Open Inventory Reserves: Unpack your stored resource tokens once safely positioned inside your alliance cluster to resume training and construction.

Can you add more details about resources in a future update?
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
The explanation is clear, especially for beginners.
