Avatar: Realms Collide on PC is a 4X strategy game set in the shared universe of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. The Four Nations are threatened by a powerful cult rising from the Spirit World, and your role is to become the leader who gathers heroes, develops a city, and restores balance. Rather than controlling a single character through a linear adventure, you direct a growing power in a persistent online world. You choose an element, build and upgrade your city, manage resources, research improvements, strengthen defenses, and expand across the world map by claiming strategic locations. The game’s central loop is therefore both territorial and developmental: improve the foundation of your settlement, use its resources to make your forces stronger, then push outward against enemies and competing players while preparing for the next stage of progression.

Your military strength comes from assembling teams of recognizable heroes from across the Avatar universe. Aang, Korra, Sokka, Zuko, and many other characters can be recruited, upgraded, equipped with gear, and arranged into lineups suited to different objectives. You are also asked to develop their abilities and make strategic decisions about how your roster supports each battle. Animal companions provide another collection and progression system with a direct combat purpose. These iconic companions are collected and raised over time, then strengthened by unlocking abilities, providing stat boosts, and offering combat support alongside your heroes. Their appearances can also be customized, giving the collection layer a personal element without separating it from strategy. On PC, a larger display is particularly useful when you are surveying the world map, comparing territories, and deciding which strategic locations to claim while keeping your city’s development and defenses in mind. Keyboard-and-mouse input also suits the administrative side of the game: selecting buildings, moving through upgrade and research options, reviewing hero equipment, and arranging a lineup are easier to handle when you can point precisely and move between several information-heavy screens. When an alliance war or PvP battle requires a quick read of heroes, gear, companions, and available resources, the extra screen space can make those comparisons clearer.
