To clear and farm Raid 1 (Astaroth's Awakening) in Bit Heroes Quest, finish the final dungeon of Zone 3 to unlock the raid, recruit high-level friend carries instead of relying on early familiars, and spend your regenerating Raid Shards on the highest difficulty you can clear without wiping. Your goal is to gather and upgrade Tier 4 epic gear alongside one or two legendaries to gain the Total Stats (TS) needed to enter Zone 4.

Raid Access and Shard Management

Raid 1 unlocks immediately after completing Zone 3. Unlike standard zone dungeons that run on energy, raids consume an independent currency called Raid Shards.

A failed raid run consumes the entry shard without granting primary completion rewards. To maintain an efficient farming economy, follow these resource rules:

  • Prevent shard capping: Raid Shards regenerate over time up to a set cap. Check your timer periodically so regeneration never halts.
  • Save gems for later tiers: Avoid spending gems on shard pouches or refills in Raid 1. Tier 4 gear is quickly replaced in subsequent zones, making gem investments far more valuable in Tier 7 and beyond.
  • Target daily bonuses: Coordinate heavy shard spending with daily server bonuses, particularly on days featuring increased item find or bonus experience.

Team Setup and Friend Carries

Raids allow you to recruit other players' avatars to your team rather than restricting you to captured familiars. Because early-game familiars have low baseline stats, recruiting active, high-level friends from world chat or your guild is the fastest way to clear Raid 1 safely.

PositionRoleRecommended Build FocusPrimary Objective
Slot 1 (Front)Main TankHigh Stamina, Shielding, or DeflectAbsorb direct boss attacks and protect the backline.
Slot 2 (Mid-Front)Off-Tank / BaitBalanced Stamina and Agility, Damage ReductionSoak secondary cleave damage and relieve front-line pressure.
Slot 3 (Center)Player AvatarFlexible (Damage, Utility, or Healing)Support the team based on your current stats and gear.
Slot 4 (Mid-Back)Primary DPSHigh Strength and Agility, Critical StrikeQuickly eliminate trash waves and focus down boss adds.
Slot 5 (Back)Healer / BufferHigh Agility, team-wide heals and cleansesMaintain party health across multi-wave battles.

Having a high-level friend fill the Slot 1 tank role and another fill the Slot 4 DPS slot can carry your party through Raid 1 even while your own avatar is still equipped with Zone 3 rare items.

Choosing Normal, Hard, or Heroic

Astaroth's Awakening features three difficulty options: Normal, Hard, and Heroic. Each difficulty tier increases enemy health and attack power, but every run costs exactly one Raid Shard regardless of the setting selected.

  • Normal: Offers the lowest drop rates for Tier 4 epics and extremely rare chances for legendaries. Run Normal only if you cannot survive Hard.
  • Hard: Serves as a safe bridge if your team cannot survive Heroic damage spikes.
  • Heroic: Provides the highest drop rates for Tier 4 legendary equipment and is the primary source of epic crafting materials needed for upgrades.

Aim to achieve a 100% win rate on Heroic as soon as possible. If your party fails a Heroic run, immediately drop back down to Hard to avoid wasting shards. Farm Hard until you gain more character levels, upgrade your current gear, or recruit stronger friend carries to bridge the stat deficit.

Combat Tactics for Astaroth

Astaroth's Awakening consists of multiple enemy waves before the final boss encounter. Running the raid on full auto-battle can leave your team vulnerable during the transition into the boss fight.

  1. Disable auto-battle before the boss: Turn off auto-battle during the wave directly preceding Astaroth.
  2. Pool Skill Points (SP): Defeat the final remaining minions using basic attacks so your party enters the boss wave with full SP meters.
  3. Target minion adds first: When Astaroth spawns with support minions, direct your damage dealers to eliminate the adds immediately. Removing secondary enemies reduces the incoming actions and status effects your tank must absorb each turn.
  4. Time healing spells: Reserve your healer's SP for area-of-effect heals right after Astaroth uses team-wide attacks.

Tier 4 Gear Upgrade Priorities

Farming Astaroth yields Tier 4 epic and legendary gear. While Tier 4 legendaries offer high potential stats, upgrading them requires large quantities of rare crafting materials and epic salvage components.

Trying to fully upgrade a full set of Tier 4 legendaries will bottleneck your progress. The optimal strategy is to fully upgrade a complete set of Tier 4 epic equipment alongside one or two Tier 4 legendaries. This setup provides sufficient Total Stats to clear subsequent zone checkpoints and access Raid 2 without depleting your upgrade materials.
