Rivellon is designed for experimentation: you can talk to anyone, interact with everything, speak with animals, investigate ghosts, and even kill NPCs without automatically sacrificing your progress. That freedom makes exploration about more than moving between objectives; it is also about testing what the world allows and discovering which choices produce new paths.

The central gameplay loop combines open-ended exploration, party development, and deep, tactical, turn-based combat. Battles reward preparation and positioning rather than simple attack selection. The game supports different scales of play: two people can share a device, online parties can include up to four players, and seamless split-screen lets two players operate at opposite ends of the world without loading screens. In cooperative play, each person can contribute to exploration, conversations, and tactical decisions while still pursuing their own approach to the world.
