To craft a 5-stat Celestial item in Eternium, apply a Celestial Transform to a prepared Legendary item or forge a Celestial base during events. Using a Celestial Transform does not reroll your equipment. Instead, it preserves the item's four existing attributes, raises those rolls near their maximum numerical limits, increases base armor or weapon damage, and prompts you to select a fifth bonus stat.
Preparing the Ideal Legendary Base
Because Celestial Transforms are scarce, applying one to a low-level piece or an item with poor affixes permanently wastes the upgrade.
Before transforming an item, verify that it meets the following criteria:
- Target Level 77: Craft Legendary items at the Blacksmith until you obtain a Level 77 piece. Level 77 gear has higher base stat ceilings than Level 70 gear, and the transform scales from that higher base.
- Lock In Desired Affixes: Ensure all four native stats match your build requirements before transforming. For an offensive damage build, aim for a base containing Power, Critical Rating, Critical Damage, and either Ability Rate or Haste.
- Prioritize Weapons First: Transform main-hand and off-hand weapons before armor pieces. Boosting base weapon damage provides an immediate, substantial boost to skill damage multipliers.
- Avoid Placeholder Items: Do not use transforms on temporary drops containing farming stats such as Extra Gold or Experience unless you are building dedicated utility gear.
Choosing the Fifth Stat
When you apply the Celestial Transform, you must choose an additional attribute to complete the 5-stat profile. Select a stat that addresses your build's specific bottleneck.
| Build Goal | Recommended Fifth Stat | Strategic Function |
|---|---|---|
| Trial Pushing / Burst DPS | Critical Damage or Ability Rate | Compresses cooldowns for crowd control or increases critical strike burst damage. |
| High-Tier Survivability | Vitality | Increases maximum Health to survive one-shot mechanics from elite mobs and bosses. |
| Fast Attack / Proc Builds | Haste | Accelerates resource generation and triggers attack-based passive skills more frequently. |
| Direct Damage Mitigation | Armor or Block Rating | Reduces incoming physical damage when gathering and fighting dense enemy packs. |
For most high-level Trial pushing, players prioritize Ability Rate or Vitality. Ability Rate shortens cooldowns on primary offensive and defensive skills like Whirlwind, Blizzard, and Snipe. If your cooldowns are already sufficient from Champion Points and jewelry, add Vitality to avoid failing Trial timers due to sudden boss burst damage.
Acquiring Celestial Transforms in Events
Celestial Transforms cannot be continuously farmed in normal campaign play. Their primary source is milestone progression in seasonal A New Beginning (ANB) events.
- Reach Event Milestones: Level an event hero during an ANB league and push through Trials to unlock Celestial Transforms, typically awarded at Trial 90 and Trial 110.
- Apply Ephemeral Transforms: Use the awarded transforms directly on your event hero's best gear to climb higher before the event timer runs out.
- Claim After the Event: Transformed items shed their temporary "ephemeral" status when the ANB event concludes. The completed 5-stat Celestial gear is then sent to your main account mailbox for permanent use.
Sockets and Enchantments
Once the item is transformed, complete its optimization at the Blacksmith:
- Unlock Sockets: If the base item rolled with fewer than the maximum socket slots, open the remaining slots manually.
- Insert Radiant Gemstones: Fill sockets with Radiant-tier gems that match your primary stat need, such as Radiant Rubies for Power or Radiant Topazes for Ability Rate.
- Apply High-Grade Enchants: Enchant the piece with a high-tier scroll to extract the maximum stat budget possible from the Celestial tier.

Can you add more details about base building in a future update?
This saved me time in the early game.
This guide answered the exact question I had.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
