In Evony, rushing your Keep level to unlock high-tier troops without matching percentage buffs creates an inflated, fragile city that suffers heavy losses in player-versus-player (PvP) combat and Server War. Combat calculations scale base unit attributes using percentage multipliers for attack, defense, and HP. Because of this formula, a Tier 11 or Tier 12 march backed by a 900% attack buff decisively defeats an unbuffed Tier 14 march supported by only a 300% buff.

To build genuine combat strength, match your Academy level to your Keep level and secure permanent stat multipliers before investing resources into massive armies.

Prioritize Academy Research Over Troop Training

When operating unshielded, protect your offensive forces by ghosting them:

Troops committed to an active or pending 60-minute rally cannot be killed inside your city walls.
