To bait enemy marches and earn points during Evony Server vs Server (SvS), station a ground troop reinforcement march from your main city inside an unshielded secondary (alt) keep. Enemy players hunting for easy points frequently target unbubbled keeps using fast cavalry marches without scouting first. Because ground units directly counter mounted units, your reinforced garrison defeats the incoming cavalry, generating points for your main account while inflicting heavy losses on the attacker.

Prerequisites and City Setup

Before dropping the Truce Agreement (peace shield) on your alt account, set up the following conditions:

  • Keep Distance: Position your alt keep close enough to your main city for quick reinforcement travel, but not directly adjacent. Placing cities side by side signals a trap to vigilant scouts.
  • Alt Embassy Level: Your alt keep's Embassy level determines reinforcement capacity. Upgrade this building as high as possible so it can hold a full defensive march from your primary account.
  • Main Account Hospital Space: When reinforced troops take damage defending another keep, wounded units go directly to the reinforcing player's hospital. Ensure your main city has sufficient open hospital capacity before taking hits, or excess casualties will become permanent troop deaths.
  • Clear Alt Clutter: Remove high-tier units or loose siege engines from the alt city so it does not yield unnecessary kill points to the attacker.

Reinforcing and Dropping the Shield

Once your alt keep is prepared, execute the trap using these steps:

  1. Dispatch your primary account's ground march, accompanied by your best defensive ground general, to reinforce the alt keep's Embassy.
  2. Confirm the reinforcement march has arrived and fully garrisoned the alt's Embassy.
  3. Manually drop the Truce Agreement on the alt account to display an unshielded target on the server map.
  4. Keep both accounts active on screen and monitor the incoming march warnings.

Ground troops provide high physical durability and deal bonus counter-damage against mounted units. Because enemy hunters prioritize speed to hit targets before they bubble, they overwhelmingly launch pure mounted marches, giving your stationed ground units a significant combat advantage.

Incoming Attack Responses

Do not leave an unshielded alt unattended. Evaluate every incoming line immediately and choose the appropriate response based on the enemy's attack type:

Incoming ThreatAttacker IntentImmediate Action
Solo Mounted AttackRapid strike on an assumed unshielded farmMaintain position; let the march hit your ground garrison.
Scout MarchChecking wall defense and garrisoned troopsRe-bubble or recall if you want to conceal the setup, as scouting reveals your reinforcements.
Solo Ranged AttackDeliberate counter-march against your ground troopsRe-bubble the alt immediately or recall reinforcements to avoid heavy losses.
Alliance RallyConcentrated group attack to clear heavy defenseRecall reinforcements immediately and activate a Truce Agreement on the alt keep.

If an enemy identifies the trap and organizes an alliance rally, your alt's Embassy cannot hold enough defensive troops to survive the incoming numbers. Drop your trap and restore shields whenever an opponent switches to a rally or deploys archers against your ground garrison.
