To beat Gardenscapes levels 871 through 875, clear dense lower-board blockers early to prompt automatic cascades and charge your Rainbow Blast meter quickly. Each stage in this stretch restricts your total move count while introducing narrow partitions, fortified obstacles, or layered collection goals. Combining Bombs and TNT rather than setting off isolated Firecrackers ensures you fulfill stage requirements before your moves run out.

Level 871: Clear Lower Obstacles to Open the Board

Level 871 restricts piece flow with central and lower obstacles. Your immediate goal is to open up board space. Making matches at the top of the board leaves the lower half stagnant and wastes turns.

  • Focus your opening turns strictly on matches adjacent to crates and barriers at the base of the board.
  • Allow top pieces to cascade downward into newly opened columns, which often generates passive four- and five-piece alignments.
  • Combine Firecrackers and Bombs near the bottom to expand blast coverage and accelerate your Rainbow Blast charge.

Level 872: Break Conduits and Chained Tiles

Level 872 features reinforced crates and chained pieces that stop tiles from dropping into primary collection areas. Single three-piece matches cannot dismantle these multi-hit barriers within the move limit.

Blocker TypeClearing Strategy
Chained TilesDirect matches using trapped pieces, adjacent Bombs, or targeted Rainbow Blasts
Fortified CratesAdjacent double-explosive detonations (Bomb + Bomb or Bomb + TNT)
Isolated CornersDirected Rockets or board-wide color clears via Rainbow Blast

Target chained tiles located directly above empty columns first. Clearing these conduits restores piece flow across dead zones. When a Rainbow Blast becomes available, check which color makes contact with the greatest number of remaining chains and fortified crates, then clear that color to weaken defenses board-wide.

Level 873: Maneuver Narrow Corridors

Level 873 divides the board into narrow vertical lanes, eliminating most horizontal match opportunities. Relying on single-tile Firecrackers is too slow to reach the stage goal.

  1. Prioritize vertical matches: Use vertical columns to build Rockets and Bombs.
  2. Hold single explosives: Avoid detonating lone Firecrackers if another explosive can drop next to it on the following turn.
  3. Detonate pairs across barriers: Combine adjacent explosives to double blast radii and destroy obstacles across lane dividers.
  4. Shift sides when stuck: When no productive matches exist in one corridor, make moves in the opposite corridor to reset piece alignments across the board.

Level 874: Target Deep Soil and Grass Layers

Level 874 divides player attention across multiple item requirements. Scattering moves across different goal types usually results in running out of turns with a handful of items left.

Check the remaining goal counters on the left panel every two turns. If objectives require clearing grass or soil layers, direct power-ups into the thickest, double-layered zones first. Heavy patches require multiple direct hits or large explosive combinations. Single-layer tiles and perimeter items are frequently collected as collateral damage during late cascades, so avoid spending regular moves on isolated edge pieces.

Level 875: Combine Double Rainbow Blasts

Level 875 features a tight layout and heavy collection goals that punish uncoordinated moves. The most reliable clearing method is assembling and combining two adjacent Rainbow Blasts.

Swapping two Rainbow Blasts together clears every piece on the board and removes one layer from every obstacle simultaneously. When your first Rainbow Blast appears, leave it in place and focus your matches on forming a second one nearby. Avoid clearing pieces directly between them unless the move drops them into adjacent tiles. If an uncontrolled cascade threatens to detonate a Rainbow Blast early, immediately use it on the most common color surrounding your stage targets to secure maximum board impact.
