To beat Level 11 in Gardenscapes, you must uncover every garden gnome hidden under the grass before your move counter runs out. Matches that do not touch grass tiles or create power-ups do not advance the objective. To clear the board efficiently, make your matches in the bottom rows to cause cascades, assemble explosive power-ups to clear wide areas of turf, and focus your attacks strictly on revealed gnome footprints.
Level 11 Objectives and Mechanics
The board features standard puzzle pieces (such as apples, pears, leaves, water drops, and berries) laid over dirt and grass-covered tiles.
- Hidden Targets: Gnomes occupy rectangular footprints beneath the turf, appearing as two-tile or four-tile statues.
- Turf Layers: Grass tiles can be single-layered or double-layered. Single-layer grass clears with one adjacent match or blast, while double-layer grass requires two separate hits to fully remove.
- Victory Condition: All hidden gnomes must be completely uncovered before you run out of moves. Any remaining turns convert into bonus explosives that grant extra coins upon stage completion.
Make Matches in the Lower Board
Focusing your swaps on the bottom third of the grid is the most reliable way to clear the board without using pre-game boosters:
- Triggers Automatic Matches: When pieces drop from above to fill empty space, they frequently match on their own, removing grass without spending extra turns.
- Spawns Organic Boosters: Cascading drops often align four or more pieces naturally, creating free explosive power-ups.
- Reshuffles Stagnant Tiles: Moving bottom pieces refreshes the entire column above, breaking up dead zones in upper quadrants.
Reserve upper-row swaps for moments when you can immediately assemble a four- or five-piece booster or clear the final grass tile covering an identified gnome.
Craft and Combine Power-Ups
Standard three-piece matches clear tiles too slowly to finish within the move limit. Use four- and five-piece alignments to assemble explosives that sweep grass in wide radiuses.
| Power-Up | Matching Requirement | Blast Area | Best Use on Level 11 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firecracker | 4 pieces in a straight line | 1-tile cross shape (+) | Chipping corner grass and isolated edges |
| Bomb | 5 pieces in a T-shape or L-shape | 2-tile radius (5x5 grid) | Clearing clusters of double-layered grass |
| Dynamite | 6 pieces in an intersection or line | 3-tile radius | Sweeping large sections of the board at once |
| Rainbow Blast | Charged by detonating explosives | Clears all pieces of one chosen color | Stripping grass from scattered or unreachable squares |
Before detonating a Bomb or Firecracker, check whether swapping it one tile over will place more grass within its blast radius. Detonating explosives also charges the Rainbow Blast meter at the bottom of the screen.
Strategy for Revealing Gnomes
Do not waste turns clearing random patches of grass across the board. Follow this sequence to track down the statues:
- Strip Outer Edges: Clear single-layer perimeter grass first to open up matching room across the board.
- Trace Exposed Statues: As soon as an edge of a gnome (such as a hat, ear, or pedestal) is revealed, identify whether it aligns horizontally or vertically. Target the directly adjacent grass squares to complete that specific statue.
- Abandon Empty Dirt: If clearing a grass tile reveals empty ground with no gnome underneath, stop matching in that section and redirect your moves to unexplored grass patches.
- Deploy the Rainbow Blast: When the Rainbow Blast activates, scan the remaining covered grass tiles. Swap the Rainbow Blast with the piece color that sits on the highest number of grass squares to clear them in a single move.
