To beat Level 2346 in Gardenscapes, spend your first three to five moves breaking obstacles directly adjacent to the center and bottom lanes. Opening the central board early establishes gravity cascades that pull incoming pieces from top spawner columns, giving you the space needed to craft explosives within the stage's move limit.
Clear Bottlenecks to Open the Board
Compartmentalized starting tiles prevent automatic tile generation and make standard three-tile matches inefficient. Focus on clearing obstacles directly beneath piece dispensers before targeting side barriers.
- Target central blockers first: Clear obstructions along the middle and lower lanes to create downward piece flow.
- Make direct-contact matches: Avoid making matches in open areas unless they directly touch or damage an adjacent obstacle.
- Leave outer edges for later: Do not spend moves manually clearing isolated edge obstacles until the board has enough space to generate ranged power-ups.
Form and Combine Explosives
Standard matches will not clear this stage before you run out of moves. Match pieces along the lower half of the board to trigger cascades that drop prospective power-up formations into place.
| Power-Up | Match Formation | Tactical Role |
|---|---|---|
| Rocket | 4 pieces in a row or column | Clears entire rows or columns to reach isolated edge blockers. |
| Bomb | 5 pieces in an L- or T-shape | Clears a two-tile radius to shatter clusters of dense obstacles. |
| Dynamite | 6 pieces in an intersection | Provides wide-area clearance to blow open congested choke points. |
Every detonated explosive charges your Rainbow Blast meter faster than regular matches. Whenever possible, position two explosives next to each other to trigger larger clearing radiuses.
Use Rainbow Blasts Effectively
Avoid triggering a single Rainbow Blast immediately unless it hits a color dominating the board or touching key blockers.
- Double Rainbow Blast: Swapping two adjacent Rainbow Blasts clears one layer across the entire board and refills the grid with fresh pieces.
- Rainbow Blast plus explosive: Combining a Rainbow Blast with a Bomb or Rocket converts every tile of that matched color into that explosive and detonates them simultaneously.
- Solo color clear: If a combo is unavailable, select the color that occupies the highest number of tiles adjacent to remaining obstacles to force a board-wide cascade.
Manage Moves and Finish the Level
Because turn counts are limited, every move should either damage a blocker, create a power-up, or detonate an existing explosive. Ignore the game's idle matching hints when they suggest passive three-piece swaps that do not affect obstacles.
If you are within one or two pieces of winning on your final turn, use targeted tools rather than spending coins on extra moves:
- Use the Shovel to remove a single remaining obstacle or trigger a primed bomb.
- Use the Rake to clear an entire row and column if targets are aligned.
- If multiple targets remain scattered with no power-ups on the board, restart the attempt instead of purchasing extra moves.

The explanation is clear, especially for beginners.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
This helped me understand strategy much better.
Nice guide. I am checking the other Gardenscapes articles next.
