The game combines base and territory development with naval and air-force collection, exploration, enemy hunting, and large-scale multiplayer conflict. Rather than focusing on a single unit or mission, you are asked to shape an entire war effort: gather the forces needed to protect your base, improve your military technology, search the world for treasure, and push into new territory while confronting enemy fleets and squadrons.

The central loop begins with building up a force from real-world Aircraft Carriers, Jets, and Ships, then using those assets to secure territory and eliminate hostile forces. Expansion and military-tech development support the larger objective of creating a fleet and army capable of taking on increasingly important targets, while exploration gives you reasons to move beyond your immediate base and hunt for treasure or enemy units. Base defense remains a constant priority, since the enemy Armada can attack while you are also pursuing offensive goals. Multiplayer systems broaden that decision-making: you can create or join an Alliance, recruit friends, and cooperate in global warfare through modes and activities including City Conquest, Base of Operation, and World War. These alliance-focused battles make coordination and long-term planning central parts of the experience rather than optional extras.

The ROBOTECH crossover adds a distinct collection and combat layer to the modern military framework. You can collect iconic ROBOTECH Veritech Fighters and command a ROBOTECH Squadron against waves of enemies in arcade shooting combat, while the Zentraedi Forces provide a dedicated threat to overcome. The crossover also gives you a specific restoration objective: repair the legendary SDF-1 to unlock exclusive Daedalus and SDF-1 Carrier skins. Alongside those rewards, collecting carriers, jets, ships, and crossover fighters gives the game a broad roster to organize as your military grows. On PC, a larger display is useful when surveying territory, following the position of enemy fleets, and comparing the many elements involved in an offensive or defensive plan. Keyboard-and-mouse controls can also make repeated management actions more comfortable, from selecting units and navigating the battlefield to checking available forces before an attack and coordinating activity across alliance objectives.
