- Monitor your party's health (HP) and Defense Points (DP) during wave clears so that you enter the Giant Bat phase fully stabilized.
3. Execute the Drop Condition in Combat
Once the Giant Bat engages your party, prioritize triggering your elemental combo over dealing fast physical burst damage.
- Maintain Frontline Defense: The Giant Bat attacks rapidly and will strain your DP gauge. Match Zack's and Alston's shields to absorb incoming hits and prevent direct damage to your health pool. Match Samantha's healing emblems if debuffs or board disruptions occur.
- Build Roy's Emblems: Shift board tiles to align four-tile or five-tile Roy emblem combinations.
- Land the Electric Attack: Unleash Roy's electric spell directly against the Giant Bat. Confirm the hit registers on the monster.
- Defeat the Giant Bat: Once the creature has taken electric damage, finish depleting its remaining HP with standard attacks.
Collect Furbat's Topaz on the victory screen, then return to town to use the gem for crafting mid-game equipment and stat-boosting accessories.
