To activate Samira's ultimate, Inferno Trigger, in League of Legends: Wild Rift, you must build her passive Style grade from E up to S by alternating between basic attacks and distinct abilities. Hitting an enemy with the same attack or ability twice in a row grants no additional Style, delaying your ultimate and leaving you vulnerable in close combat.

Daredevil Impulse and Style Mechanics

Samira's passive, Daredevil Impulse, dictates how she approaches trades and skirmishes:

  • Style Generation: Each damaging attack or ability that differs from the previous action awards one Style grade, climbing through E, D, C, B, A, and S. Each grade level provides cumulative bonus movement speed.
  • Melee Execution Damage: When attacking enemies within melee range, Samira strikes with her sword rather than firing her pistols. These melee attacks deal bonus magic damage that scales with the target's missing health.
  • Crowd Control Follow-up: Basic attacking an immobilized enemy briefly knocks them airborne, extends the duration of the crowd control effect, and slightly dashes Samira into attack range.

S-Rank Combo Sequences

Because repeated abilities do not generate Style, you must weave basic attacks between skill casts to reach rank S reliably.

Standard Extended Trade Combo

Use this sequence during lane skirmishes or when you have time to weave attacks before fully committing:

  1. Basic Attack (Grade E)
  2. Flair (Grade D)
  3. Basic Attack (Grade C)
  4. Wild Rush (Grade B)
  5. Melee Basic Attack (Grade A)
  6. Blade Whirl (Grade S) $\rightarrow$ Cast Inferno Trigger

Fast Burst Combo

This sequence uses the dual-hit property of Blade Whirl to reach S rank in a single continuous movement:

  1. Basic Attack (Grade E)
  2. Blade Whirl (First slash hits for Grade D)
  3. Wild Rush + Flair cast mid-dash (Grade C and Grade B)
  4. Blade Whirl (Second slash connects for Grade A)
  5. Melee Basic Attack (Grade S) $\rightarrow$ Cast Inferno Trigger

Casting Wild Rush and Flair while Blade Whirl is active allows the second slash of Blade Whirl to count as a fresh, separate action, reaching S rank almost instantly.

Teamfight Timing and Inferno Trigger

Inferno Trigger has a negligible cooldown, meaning you can cast it multiple times in an extended fight if you re-stack Daredevil Impulse to S rank. The ability applies critical strike damage and benefits from life steal to keep Samira alive in point-blank range.

However, any hard crowd control—including stuns, knockups, silences, or polymorphs—immediately interrupts Inferno Trigger and resets your Style grade to zero without a refund. To prevent interrupted casts:

  • Wait to engage until the enemy team expends their primary hard crowd control abilities on your front line.
  • Enter the fight as secondary follow-up, dash in using Wild Rush, and execute the fast burst combo.
  • Leverage champion takedowns to reset Wild Rush, allowing you to reposition, chase fleeing enemies, and stack Style for another ultimate cast.
