These areas are designed around critical thinking, risk taking, unpredictable actions, and puzzles, giving you a break from straightforward combat while still asking you to make careful decisions. One stated objective is to save Armuda from the Fallens’ attack, and the possibility of reaching the top of the world ranking gives these activities a competitive long-term target. The heroes themselves are more than interchangeable units: each has a unique personality and personal story, supported by character voices from performers including Fred Tatasciore, Laura Bailey, Marisha Ray, Matthew Mercer, Robbie Daymond, and Nika Futterman. On PC, the larger display makes the world map easier to read when you are comparing unexplored routes, farming locations, towers, and newly unlocked areas, while also giving combat information and enemy formations more room to remain visible.
