Limbus Company on PC is a turn-based RPG built around the tension of a realtime brawl. Set in the massive dystopian metropolis established in Project Moon’s Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina, it follows a cast of 12 Sinners on a journey to find Golden Boughs. You take the role of the Manager, directing this group through a sequence of story events and battles while learning how each encounter’s rules, enemies, and tactical demands fit into the wider world. The main story is fully voiced in Korean, giving its dialogue and dramatic scenes a distinct presentation as the Sinners move through another unsettling tale in Project Moon’s shared setting.

Combat is the defining system, combining deliberate team planning with simultaneous action. During each combat phase, units on both sides act at once, and characters targeting one another can enter a Clash. These confrontations are decided by the strength of the opposing skills along with an element of luck, and the winner can shut down the loser’s skill. Choosing the right attack is therefore more important than simply selecting the strongest-looking option: you need to read the opposing actions, judge which Sinner is best positioned to answer them, and use your commands to win the most important Clashes. The game presents this through a grid of skill icons. Connect icons to send units into action according to your plan, and chain skills of the same color to increase their damage. The result is a combat loop that rewards both quick recognition and careful sequencing as your Sinners act to your tempo.

Team construction gives those individual choices a broader strategic context. You assemble groups from different Identities and equip an arsenal of E.G.O, creating combinations that can support powerful synergies. Enemies use Affinity-based attacks and troublesome effects, so a reliable formation depends on more than raw strength. You must consider which Identities and E.G.O complement one another, which skills can answer the threats in front of you, and how your selected team will handle the encounter’s particular Affinities. Abnormalities are especially formidable opponents, turning battles into tests of observation as well as execution. Learning their behavior and weaknesses is part of the progression: once you understand what an Abnormality is trying to do, you can compose a more suitable team and work toward conquering it rather than relying on a single repeated tactic.

The PC version gives these systems a clearer workspace for both planning and execution. A larger display makes it easier to inspect the battlefield, follow simultaneous actions, distinguish the skill icons connected across the grid, and read the changing information that determines which Clashes deserve immediate attention. Keyboard-and-mouse input also suits the repeated selection involved in linking skills and assigning commands, letting you move between units and choices with more precise control during a scramble. Outside the action itself, that screen space is useful when comparing Identities, reviewing your available E.G.O, and thinking through a team built to exploit an enemy’s weaknesses or endure its Affinity-based attacks. Steam also automatically links a profile to the user’s Steam account on launch, while already linked profiles can integrate multiple external accounts, supporting the account and cross-platform features described by the developer.
