To run Primeval as your primary carry in Lucky Defense!, place it directly at the main monster path intersection, support it with defense-shredding debuffers and hard stuns, and funnel your Lucky Stones into upgrading Primeval rather than rolling for secondary damage dealers.

Safe Summoning Checklist

Primeval requires specific Mythic and Legendary fusion materials. Sacrificing your early defense too quickly will cause leaks before Primeval comes online.

  1. Clear Wave 30 first: Keep your early damage dealers intact until the Wave 30 boss is defeated. Stockpile coins and summon energy during this phase.
  2. Track fusion components: Identify the exact base units needed for the Primeval recipe so you do not accidentally merge them away during standard board cleanup.
  3. Confirm crowd control backups: Ensure you have spare stun units on the board before fusing materials. If the fusion consumes your only stun, fast mobs will leak before Primeval can clear them.

Board Placement Priority

Primeval deals heavy area-of-effect damage, but its skill radius requires maximum target uptime. Corners and flank tiles reduce its damage window significantly.

Essential Support Synergies

Primeval's raw burst falls off against late-game bosses unless supported by active debuffs and continuous skill cycling.

  • Layer defense reduction: Position units that strip physical or magic resistance slightly ahead of Primeval along the track. Enemies must have their armor broken before stepping into Primeval's hit zone, allowing multi-hit skills to deal full damage.
  • Maintain double crowd control: Keep at least two dedicated multi-target stun units on your lane. Staggering stuns holds bulky targets and sprinters directly inside Primeval's attack animations.
  • Feed MP regeneration: Station mana-generating support units adjacent to Primeval. Accelerating its energy recharge converts sporadic skill bursts into near-constant uptime during dense mob waves.

Late-Game Economy Management

Once Primeval and your core support suite are established on the board, stop spending resources on random unit summons.

  • Bank Lucky Coins: Hold your gold reserves to maximize interest payouts, then spend the surplus on upgrading your primary damage type in the field shop.
  • Target Lucky Stones: Invest your Lucky Stones directly into Primeval's individual level scaling and your main defense-reduction supports. An over-leveled Primeval backed by high resistance shred clears Wave 80 far more consistently than multiple split-investment carries.
