To clear the ZG Raid in Mini Legion: Beast Within, build a roster with two tanks and dedicated cleansing healers, interrupt channeled spells on trash pulls, separate multi-target bosses, and infect your team with corrupted blood to negate Hakkar's life drain.

ZG exposes your frontline to heavy physical blows while hitting the entire group with stacking nature and shadow debuffs. Bring at least one main tank focused on armor and block mitigation, along with an off-tank to manage secondary adds. Your healers must prioritize rapid poison and curse cleansing over pure throughput to prevent mana exhaustion. Stocking nature resistance gear and poison-neutralizing potions before entering further reduces group damage.

Managing Trash Packs and Patrols

Reckless pulling through raid hallways will quickly wipe your party. The corridors feature stealthed prowlers, wandering axe throwers, and bat packs that easily chain-pull together.

  • Pull Back to Safe Ground: Assign a single puller to draw patrolling packs backward into cleared territory instead of engaging them in active hallways.
  • Lock Down Casters: Use stuns, roots, or polymorphs on secondary casters while the main tank builds threat on the primary target.
  • Destroy Witch Doctor Wards: Witch doctors deploy healing wards and poison clouds. Damage dealers must immediately swap targets to destroy these wards before returning to primary targets.
  • Turn Berserkers Outward: Berserkers gain attack speed and cleave in front of them. Keep them facing away from melee DPS to prevent sudden group wipes.

High Priest Boss Tactics

The High Priest encounters test your team's dispelling speed and ability to handle shifting animal aspects.

Bat and Snake Aspects

  • Bat Aspect: Spread out across the encounter area to avoid chain silences and leaping splash damage. Melee DPS must interrupt scream casts immediately to prevent healers from being silenced during tank damage spikes.
  • Snake Aspect: Mitigating nature damage is critical. The boss sprays poison in a forward cone and places stacking venom on random players. Healers must cleanse these stacks immediately, while the off-tank picks up venom adds as soon as they spawn.

Spider Aspect

The spider encounter immobilizes players with webs, preventing them from moving out of ground poison pools.

  • Maintain loose spacing so single web casts do not trap multiple raid members together.
  • Save offensive trinkets and defensive cooldowns for the boss's frenzy phase to burn through the final health pool before incoming damage overwhelms your healers.

Multi-Target Boss Positioning

Bosses accompanied by bonded adds or council partners require strict separation to prevent shared defensive buffs and overlapping damage auras.

  1. Separate the Bosses: Have the main tank hold the primary target on one side of the room while the off-tank positions secondary targets at least 20 yards away.
  2. Eliminate Secondary Adds First: Direct all single-target damage to secondary caster adds to stop ongoing stuns and channeled cleaves.
  3. Equalize Health Pools: If an encounter features bosses that revive fallen allies, lower their health pools evenly before executing a synchronized burst finish.
  4. Maintain an Open Center: Keep the middle of the arena clear so healers have an unobstructed line of sight and safe room to dodge ground hazards.

How to Defeat Hakkar

Hakkar channels a signature ability called Blood Sip, which damages the entire raid while healing him for a large portion of his health pool. Countering this heal is mandatory to complete the encounter.

  1. Spawn and Position Adds: Hakkar spawns Sons of Hakkar along the perimeter of the platform. Have the off-tank drag these adds near the center before defeating them.
  2. Collect Corrupted Blood: When a Son of Hakkar dies, it leaves behind a lingering poison cloud. Shortly before Hakkar starts casting Blood Sip, the entire raid must briefly step into the cloud to contract corrupted blood.
  3. Reverse the Heal: When Hakkar casts Blood Sip on players carrying corrupted blood, the siphon poisons him for heavy damage instead of restoring his health.
  4. Execute at 20% Health: Once Hakkar reaches 20% health, his attack speed increases dramatically. Activate attack power buffs, potions, and major damage cooldowns to finish the fight before tank defenses fail.
