To create custom scenes in MiniMuses Studio Mode, select backgrounds, characters, and props from the bottom navigation bar, then arrange their layer order on the active canvas. Lock finalized background elements early to keep from accidentally shifting environment pieces while editing characters.

Managing UI Controls and Layer Order

The bottom navigation bar acts as your asset inventory in Studio Mode. Selecting any character, background, or prop adds it directly to the active canvas as an independent layer.

  • Movement and Transform: Click any asset on the canvas to display its transform handles. You can drag, resize, rotate, or shift the object along horizontal and vertical axes.
  • Layer Priority: If an asset appears behind the wrong element, select it to highlight its transform handles, then use the "Bring to Front" or "Send to Back" controls to adjust depth.
  • Selection Safety: Tight character groupings can make selecting individual hitboxes difficult. Use the lock function on finalized environment pieces so transform handles only select active characters or props.

Placing Characters and Props

Positioning and scaling determine how realistic or balanced a scene looks:

  1. Establish the Environment: Select and place larger static props first, such as desks or walls, to frame the visual space. Lock them in place.
  2. Position Characters: Adjust vertical placement on the screen to establish visual distance. Placing characters higher up on the canvas moves them further away, while placing them lower brings them closer to the foreground.
  3. Attach Accessories and Small Props: Import handheld items or secondary decor. Use the resize tool to match character proportions, then use layer buttons to place props correctly over character hand models.
  4. Adjust Color and Framing: Match character outfit colors to background aesthetics through the customization menu, then test aspect ratios and crop settings before finalizing your image.

Saving Composition Milestones

Because the built-in undo feature tracks a limited number of prior actions, save your visual setup frequently using custom save slots. Save at major milestones—specifically after setting your background frame and after finalizing main character positions—to ensure you can revert to a clean layout if your canvas becomes cluttered.
