To get back Talent Crystals in Omniheroes, open your character roster, select the upgraded hero, enter their Talent screen, and tap the reset icon. Confirming the reset immediately refunds 100% of the Talent Crystals spent on that unit back into your inventory.

This process clears only the hero's talent tree. The character retains their current level, equipment, runes, and star rank.

How to Reset Hero Talents

You can reclaim materials directly through the individual hero menu without dismantling the character:

  1. Tap Heroes on the bottom menu of the main screen.
  2. Select the hero currently holding the Talent Crystals you want to reclaim.
  3. Tap the Talent tab to view the active talent tree.
  4. Tap the circular reset icon located on the talent interface.
  5. Review the confirmation prompt, which displays the exact number of Talent Crystals being returned.
  6. Confirm the reset. The allocated nodes will clear, and the full crystal cost will return to your inventory.

Talent Reset vs. Sanctuary Hero Rebirth

A Talent Reset functions independently from the Hero Rebirth feature found in the Sanctuary:

FeatureScope of ResetResources ReturnedHero Status Afterward
Talent ResetTalent tree nodes only100% of spent Talent CrystalsKeeps hero level, gear, and star rank
Hero RebirthEntire character progressionLeveling gold, experience, and ascension materialsReverts hero to level 1

Because Talent Resets do not disturb character levels or ascension ranks, you can freely reconfigure combat stats or transfer crystals without rebuilding the hero from scratch.

When to Reclaim Talent Crystals

Because Talent Crystals are a limited progression resource, leaving them on bench units reduces your total combat effectiveness. Consider resetting talents in these scenarios:

  • Transitioning to High-Tier Carries: Early-game damage dealers eventually fall behind high-tier Valkyries or core synergy heroes. Resetting your starter units allows you to immediately channel those crystals into stronger endgame carries.
  • Adjusting for PvE vs. PvP Encounters: Boss fights often favor pure offensive attributes like Attack, Penetration, and Crit Rate. PvP modes like the Arena reward survivability stats such as Dodge and Damage Reduction. Resetting enables you to tailor your roster's attributes for specific competitive brackets.

Where to Reinvest Recovered Crystals

To maximize the impact of your refunded crystals, concentrate your investment on specific team roles rather than spreading them evenly across your entire lineup:

  1. Primary Carry: Funnel the majority of your crystals into your main damage dealer to maximize offensive scaling and execution bonuses.
  2. Breakthrough Nodes: Aim for higher-tier milestone nodes on a single hero instead of buying base nodes across several units, as milestone perks offer larger passive bonuses.
  3. Frontline Tanks: Invest secondary reserves into your main tank to boost Health and Defense, giving your backline time to activate their skills.
  4. Utility Supports: Upgrade support talents last. Most supports deliver value through their baseline skill kits and synergies rather than heavy stat investments.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Entering Combat with Empty Trees: Stripping talent nodes immediately lowers a hero's Combat Power and combat attributes. Always reassign your refunded crystals before participating in daily Arena runs, Guild Bosses, or campaign pushes.
  • Overlooking Star Requirements: Higher-tier talent nodes require specific hero star ratings to unlock. Before stripping crystals from an active hero, verify that your target recipient has the star rank needed to absorb those crystals immediately.
