To beat Tier 6 of the Jedi Master Luke Skywalker event in Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes, eliminate Darth Vader first while keeping Emperor Palpatine controlled, and mod Jedi Knight Luke for at least 220 Speed with heavy Protection. Failing an attempt costs 70 Light Side Event Tickets, so avoiding fatal mistakes during the opening turns is vital to farming all ten Ultimate Materials efficiently.
Target Priority: Eliminate Vader First
You control only Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker against both Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. Luke acts without his standard leader ability modifying enemy speed, leaving him exposed to heavy initial debuffs.
Focus all direct attacks and stuns on Darth Vader until he is defeated:
- The threat of Culling Blade: Palpatine frequently applies Shock and drains Turn Meter, but he cannot quickly kill Luke on his own. Vader rapidly stacks Damage Over Time (DoT) effects and can instantly defeat Luke with a single critical hit from Culling Blade.
- Managing Palpatine's Shock: Palpatine gains Turn Meter when Shocked targets take damage, which can make attacking him tempting. Ignore Palpatine's harassment early on. Splitting damage delays Vader's defeat and gives him time to cycle to his kill combo.
- The cleanup phase: Once Vader falls, the encounter becomes a manageable duel against Palpatine, where Luke's counter-attacks and innate health recovery reliably finish the battle.
Turn Order and Ability Rotation
Surviving Tier 6 requires strict cooldown discipline rather than activating special abilities as soon as they become available.
| Turn | Action | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Turn 1 | Event Ability | Cleanse opening debuffs and establish defense buffs. |
| Turn 2 | Force Break on Darth Vader | Stun Vader and apply Blind to shut down his opening strike. |
| Turn 3 | Repulse | Apply crowd control and Blind to Emperor Palpatine while keeping Vader suppressed. |
| Turn 4+ | Basic Attacks on Vader | Whittle Vader down and heal via life steal until specials cycle back. |
Reserve Force Break exclusively for Darth Vader. Using Force Break on Palpatine is inefficient due to Palpatine's high tenacity and lower burst threat. Save the event special ability for when Luke is actively afflicted by Shock or multiple Damage Over Time debuffs; activating it while Luke is healthy wastes a crucial cleanse and survival tool.
Modding Jedi Knight Luke for Tier 6
Bringing a standard PvP mod setup into Tier 6 is a primary cause of failure. In Grand Arena, Luke is frequently modded for high Offense with zero added Speed. Without his leadership active in this event, a zero-Speed Luke is easily overwhelmed before taking a turn.
- Speed: Target 220 to 240 Speed so Luke takes turns between Palpatine's lightning attacks and Vader's strikes.
- Stat Primaries: Use a Protection primary on both the circle and cross mods. Run a Critical Damage or Defense primary on the triangle mod to absorb Vader's Force Crush.
- Mod Sets: Equip a four-piece Defense or Health set alongside a two-piece Defense or Tenacity set. High Tenacity helps resist Palpatine's initial Shock attempts, allowing Luke's passive health recovery to stay online.
