To win the Malevolence mirror match in Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes, eliminate the opposing native Hyena Bomber first, cleanse Buzz Droids off your own fleet with General Grievous's first special, and summon Geonosian Spy’s Starfighter as your first reinforcement to burst down key targets.

Fleet Composition

Using a dual-tank frontline splits incoming AI attacks and protects your original Vulture Droid so it can stack Buzz Droids early.

  • Capital Ship: Malevolence (General Grievous)
  • Starting Lineup: Hyena Bomber, Vulture Droid, Sun Fac's Geonosian Starfighter
  • Reinforcement Priority:
  1. Geonosian Spy's Starfighter (Primary burst damage)
  2. Geonosian Soldier's Starfighter (Assists and Tenacity Down)
  3. IG-2000 (Stun utility and survivability)

Opening Combat Sequence

Opening turns determine whether your fleet survives the opponent's initial assist barrage:

  1. Control the Enemy Frontline: Target the enemy Hyena Bomber. Use Sun Fac’s basic attack to stun it if it has active buffs, temporarily disabling its tanking ability.
  2. Apply Buzz Droids: Fire your starting Vulture Droid’s missiles at the opposing Vulture Droid or Sun Fac. Buzz Droids inflict damage over time on turn start, reduce offensive stats, and prevent the afflicted unit from assisting.
  3. Cleanse and Summon with Malevolence: On Grievous’s first turn, use the special ability to cleanse opposing Buzz Droids and debuffs from your fleet. This ability also grants Overcharge and deploys a summoned Vulture Droid, giving you a numbers advantage.
  4. Blind Enemy Attackers: Use your Hyena Bomber’s special to inflict Blind on opposing damage dealers, causing their counterattacks and assists to miss.

Reinforcement Order and Role

Timing your reinforcements correctly breaks the defensive stalemate once the initial droid volleys conclude.

Reinforcement OrderShipPrimary Function
FirstGeonosian Spy's StarfighterEnters with Stealth; uses its special ability to deal massive burst damage scaling with the target's status effects.
SecondGeonosian Soldier's StarfighterCalls rapid assists and inflicts Tenacity Down to stop enemy cleanses.
ThirdIG-2000Provides emergency backup, targeted stuns, and cleanup utility if the match runs long.

Call Geonosian Spy as soon as the first reinforcement window opens. Because the enemy frontline will carry multiple debuffs and Buzz Droids, Spy’s special attack can often eliminate the opposing Hyena Bomber or Sun Fac in a single strike.

Target Priority and Ultimate Execution

  • Focus Native Ships First: Always prioritize native roster ships over summoned Vulture Droids. Summoned droids disappear automatically once their capital ship is disabled or destroyed, making attacks into them a waste of burst damage.
  • Finish the Opposing Hyena Bomber: Once the enemy Hyena Bomber loses its initial Protection Up, focus continuous fire to destroy it before it can generate bonus turn meter from allied damage. Time your heavy hits to avoid attacking into Foresight.
  • Fire the Ion Cannon: Shortly after your first reinforcement, the Malevolence reaches full charge for its ultimate ability. Firing the Ion Cannon deals fleet-wide damage, inflicts Stun, and permanently shuts down the enemy capital ship's bonus turn meter generation, leaving the remaining enemy ships defenseless.

Failure Points to Avoid

  • Targeting Summoned Vultures: Wasting high-cooldown specials on summoned units prolongs the fight and allows the opposing Malevolence to reach its ultimate faster.
  • Neglecting Allied Buzz Droids: Leaving Buzz Droids on your Hyena Bomber drastically lowers its defense and allows enemy swarms to shred your primary tank. Prioritize the Malevolence cleanse whenever Buzz Droids accumulate.
  • Premature Sun Fac Taunt: Forcing Sun Fac to taunt while under heavy focus without defensive buffs will cause him to fall before your reinforcements arrive. Let Hyena Bomber absorb early attacks.
