To get the most value out of Wind Hacker Shahat in Summoners War World Arena (RTA), rune him on Swift/Will or Despair/Will, tune him to move immediately before your primary burst attacker, and target high-HP frontline units to spread lethal splash damage across the entire enemy team.

How Shahat’s Passive Distributes Damage

At the start of combat, Shahat automatically inflicts his Hack debuff on the enemy unit with the highest maximum HP. Whenever that tagged target takes damage, Shahat mirrors a substantial portion of that raw damage onto all other surviving enemy monsters.

This mechanic bypasses several defensive layers on secondary targets:

  • Elemental Disadvantage: Secondary targets take the mirrored damage regardless of their elemental matchup against your attacker.
  • Base Defense: High defense stats on secondary monsters do not mitigate the incoming mirrored damage from the hacked target.
  • Single-Target Passives: Damage reduction passives that protect individual monsters do not shield secondary units from Shahat's splash.

In addition to his passive, Shahat's Skill 2 applies an area-of-effect strip alongside Continuous Damage, allowing him to remove enemy Will runes right before your single-target nuker takes a turn.

Best Monster Synergies

Pairing Shahat with single-target nukers that deal true damage, ignore defense, or remove buffs produces the fastest board wipes.

Partner MonsterRole in ComboKey SkillInteraction with Shahat
Mo Long (Water Panda Warrior)Flat True Damage NukerReckless Assault (S3)Deals 70% of his own max HP in fixed true damage. Shahat mirrors this massive flat pool across the entire opposing team, instantly threatening squishy supports and damage dealers.
Sonia (Wind Battle Angel)Ignore-Defense FinisherPure Strike (S2)Deletes the primary high-HP tank while splashing enough burst damage to cut backline threats down to critical health.
Daphnis (Fire Fairy King)Strip & Burst StrikerHellfire (S3)Strips shields and immunity from the tagged target, inflicts Defense Break, and triggers high percentage-based splash damage onto the rest of the team.
Chandra (Water Beast Monk)Turn-One Bruiser SupportDefend (S2)Hugs Shahat or your primary nuker to ensure your combo executes cleanly through enemy counterattacks.

Rune Builds and Stat Thresholds

Shahat needs high Speed to cycle his Skill 2 strip, followed by enough survivability and Accuracy to disrupt the opposing team.

StatSwift / Will TargetDespair / Will TargetPrimary Purpose
Speed (SPD)+140 to +170+110 to +130Strict speed tuning to act immediately before your burst nuker.
HP+25,000 to +32,000+25,000 to +32,000Survives early burst and endures bruiser trades.
Defense (DEF)+500 to +700+500 to +700Adds effective durability against sustained physical hits.
Accuracy (ACC)50% to 65%50% to 65%Lands the S2 team-wide strip and S1 Attack Bar reduction.
  • Swift / Will: Use Swift if you play first-turn cleave setups. Shahat moves first, strips opposing Will runes with Skill 2, and allows follow-up nukers like Mo Long or Sonia to attack immediately without interference.
  • Despair / Will: Use Despair for slower, turn-two bruiser compositions. This set adds a team-wide stun chance to his multi-hit Skill 2, generating extra turn denial while cycling his passive pressure.

RTA Draft Priority and Turn Order

  1. Open with flexible core picks: Draft versatile control and support units like Sagar, Chandra, or Moore in picks one and two to hide your specific win condition.
  2. Lock your nuker mid-draft: Pick Mo Long or Sonia on pick three. This forces the opponent to respect heavy single-target sniping.
  3. Pick Shahat on pick four or five: Drafting Shahat late prevents the opposing player from easily pivoting into hard passive counters or multi-cleanse cores.
  4. Enforce a ban dilemma: If the opponent bans Shahat, your nukers can still eliminate priority targets individually. If they ban your nuker, Shahat provides sustained disruption, strip utility, and damage distribution for your secondary bruisers.

Counters and Workarounds

  • Oblivion (Tesarion, Herne): Oblivion disables Shahat's passive entirely. Draft immunity, heavy cleanse, or fast control units to lock down passive-blockers before they move.
  • Haegang: Stripping enemy buffs while Haegang is on the field boosts the enemy team's Attack Bar. If facing Haegang, avoid opening with Shahat's AoE Skill 2. Rely on single-target attacks or ignore-defense skills to burst down the hacked target directly.
  • Heavy Immunity (Woosa, Velajuel): If Shahat fails his strip check on Swift, your burst nuker may struggle to land debuffs. Running 50% to 65% Accuracy reduces resisted strips against opposing immunity buffers.
