To reset your town in Township and start fresh at Level 1, you must contact in-game customer support to request an account data reset, then decouple your device from existing cloud saves. Township does not include a direct "New Game" button, so restarting requires either an official server-side reset or rejecting synced cloud data when reinstalling.
How to Request a Town Reset Through In-Game Support
Because town progress ties directly to your account ID on Playrix servers, the official method to wipe your town requires contacting support directly within the app.
- Open Settings: Tap the gear icon in the top-left corner of the town screen.
- Access Support: Select the Help and Support button.
- Open Account Management: Tap on the category covering My Account, Progress, or Delete Personal Data.
- Submit a Reset Request: Open a support chat conversation and choose the automated prompt to delete your data or restart progress at Level 1.
- Confirm Permanent Deletion: Reply to the automated prompts to verify your request. You may be asked to type a confirmation word or acknowledge that your progress cannot be recovered.
Once support finalizes the deletion, your game client unlinks from the old town and opens to the Level 1 tutorial.
Managing Cloud Saves on Android and iOS
Township automatically syncs local data to external gaming and social accounts. If you do not manage these connections, the game will download your old town from the cloud immediately after you reset the local app.
| Platform | Required Action | Cloud Conflict Prompt Handling |
|---|---|---|
| Disconnect under Settings > Additional Settings | Do not reconnect until you finish the Level 1 tutorial | |
| Google Play Games (Android) | Clear Township app data in device storage settings; disconnect profile | Choose the local town when prompted to pick between saves |
| Apple ID / Game Center (iOS) | Sign out of Game Center or disable Township under iCloud storage | Select "Keep on this device" if a cloud conflict appears |
When launching Township after clearing data or receiving a reset, a prompt may ask whether you want to load your old town from the cloud or keep the local town. Always select the Local Town (Level 1). Selecting the cloud save overwrites your device with the old progress, canceling the reset.
What Gets Permanently Lost During a Reset
Wiping an account is irreversible. Support cannot restore items or progress once the wipe completes.
- Township Cash (T-Cash) and Coins: All unspent currency, whether earned through gameplay or purchased with real money, is permanently deleted.
- Event Rewards and Limited Decorations: Seasonal decor, event badges, and unique skins from past updates cannot be recovered.
- Expansions and Barn Space: Land plots return to their locked state, and your barn returns to base capacity.
- Co-op Standing: You are removed from your Co-op and forfeit earned Co-op tokens, achievements, and regatta placement.
- Upgrades: Academy of Industry upgrades for factories, trains, and islands reset to zero.
If you only dislike your current layout, stashing decorations and rearranging your buildings does not cost real currency or wipe your inventory. A full reset is only necessary if you want to completely redo early-game progression.
First Steps After Starting Over at Level 1
Once your town returns to Level 1, focus your early actions on sustainable growth:
- Keep trains moving: Trains bring the materials required to upgrade your barn and finish community buildings. Fill and dispatch them whenever they arrive.
- Hold off on unneeded factories: Each new factory adds its products to the pool of items requested by helicopters, trains, and planes. Wait to build non-essential factories until your barn capacity can handle the extra inventory.
- Invest initial T-Cash into production queues: Spend your starting Township Cash to unlock extra queue boxes in the Bakery, Feed Mill, and Dairy instead of speeding up crops or timers. Continuous passive production provides the smoothest early progress.
