The battlefield also extends beyond purely defensive play: you can choose targets on each map, plan a soldier hero conquest, and compete against other players while putting your commanding skills to work. On PC, a larger display makes it easier to read the battlefield at a glance, follow enemy movement, distinguish defensive structures from advancing toy units, and judge where new fortifications will provide the most useful protection for your home base. Keyboard-and-mouse controls are also well suited to repeated actions such as selecting units, placing defenses, reviewing upgrade choices, and moving between command screens while you manage resources and prepare a response. The social layer adds another strategic option through Corps alliances. You can create or join a Corps, cooperate with other players in the defense of your territory, or compete with rival alliances, with diplomacy and war presented as different ways to approach the wider conflict.
