To clear The Nuclear Facility community level in Zombie Night Terror, you must navigate vertical shafts, manage elevator transitions, and isolate armed guards in tight industrial corridors. Uncontrolled swarming will quickly drain your DNA pool against security lines and environmental drops. Success requires using Overlords as directional blockers, preserving DNA for required mutations, and dropping directly onto armed personnel from upper catwalks.

Conserve DNA and Control the Initial Outbreak

The Nuclear Facility is structured vertically, dividing your objective across distinct sub-levels. Because starting DNA is strictly limited, avoid unnecessary mutations during the opening room clear. Every converted human provides resources needed for later Bombers and Jumpers.

  1. Contain the starting horde: Place an Overlord at the first corridor intersection immediately after infecting the first human. This stops newly turned zombies from walking into secured blast doors or wandering into guard lines of sight before your strike group is ready.
  2. Clear rooms individually: Direct your pack into side offices to infect lab personnel before opening main corridor paths. Do not allow civilians to reach alarm consoles or lockdown switches.
  3. Budget mutations per floor: Do not use Bombers on obstacles that basic zombies can safely break down, provided no guards are actively shooting at them. Save your explosive mutations for reinforced security bulkheads.

Manage Elevators and Vertical Shafts

Elevators in this level act as both transit points and hazardous bottlenecks. Calling a lift improperly or allowing zombies to enter piecemeal will divide your forces and leave stragglers vulnerable to patrolling security.

  • Stack the horde before calling: Position an Overlord facing toward the elevator entrance while the lift is in transit. This holds your units in a tight group so they board the cab simultaneously once the doors open.
  • Prevent shaft drops: Never leave an open elevator shaft unattended. Standard zombies walk directly off ledge edges, causing fall stuns or fatal drop damage. Keep an Overlord locked at the threshold until the lift platform is level with the floor.
  • Direct exit vectors immediately: When the elevator reaches a new sub-level, unbind or redirect your lead Overlord immediately toward safe ground. Leaving zombies undirected upon arrival risks sending them into active industrial hazards or direct fire lines.

Breach Reinforced Security Bulkheads

Reinforced blast doors prevent your horde from accessing deeper laboratory sectors and control panels. Standard melee attacks take too long against these barriers, giving nearby guards time to react and civilians time to trigger automated defenses.

Use a single, point-blank Bomber mutation to breach structural barriers instantly. Mutate the lead zombie right as it touches the door frame so the explosion hits both the bulkhead and any guard stationed directly behind it. Keep the rest of your pack clustered slightly behind the blast radius. Once the door blows, release the trailing horde immediately to overrun surviving personnel before defensive fire can begin.

Neutralize Armed Security and Hazmat Guards

Security personnel inside the facility carry firearms that deal heavy damage down long, narrow corridors. Frontal assaults against ready guards will quickly wipe out your horde due to pushback and sustained fire.

  • Break lines of sight: Hold your horde around door frames using an Overlord until a patrolling guard turns away or approaches close range. Release the swarm only when the distance is short enough to close before the weapon can be brought to bear.
  • Use vertical drops: Where catwalks run above guard posts or nuclear vats, route a small pack across the upper level. Drop zombies directly onto the heads of armed units below. Landing directly on a guard cancels their ranged advantage instantly and starts an immediate conversion.
  • Target consoles quickly: Once a room's armed detail is eliminated, direct runners straight to console operators to prevent secondary facility lockdowns. Consolidate your surviving units at the final control room to complete the stage.
