To clear levels 191 through 200 in Block Out, your primary objective is to create and preserve at least one empty tube as early in the stage as possible. As stack height and color density increase across these levels, maintaining open buffer space is essential for unburying trapped blocks without creating unresolvable board locks.

Managing Empty Buffer Space

Empty tubes serve as temporary holding spots to break apart mixed color columns. Moving blocks without a clear slot forces you to place them onto existing mismatched stacks, which buries key colors deeper.

To preserve space while clearing mixed tubes:

  • Clear an entire tube completely before attempting to organize multiple colors at once.
  • Avoid filling every available column; leave at least one slot open until the final color sets are consolidated.
  • Use the open buffer space to temporary park obstruction blocks while unearthing colors at the bottom of a stack.

Systematic Color Isolation Strategy

Attempting to sort several colors simultaneously quickly clutters the board. Instead, focus entirely on one target color until its column is full or clean.

  1. Select a Target Color: Choose the color that appears most frequently near the tops of your accessible stacks.
  2. Establish a Collector Tube: Transfer all accessible blocks of that chosen color into a single designated column.
  3. Cycle Obstructions: Move blocking colors into your designated empty buffer space to reach deeper target blocks.
  4. Shift Focus: Once a color column is fully grouped, move on to the next most accessible color.

Handling Deep Stacks and Preventing Lockouts

Levels approaching Level 200 frequently place single blocks beneath four or five mixed layers. Prioritize moves that expose the bottom of a stack, even if doing so requires multiple setup moves to clear top layers.

Making quick placements that bury necessary colors often creates soft-locks where no legal moves remain. If all columns become filled with mixed layers, use the undo function promptly to reverse the move that eliminated your last vacant space. If no vacant slots remain and no valid transfers exist, restart the level to establish a cleaner opening board.
