The journey moves through six major zones and cities connected by numerous routes, taking you from frozen glacial caverns to blistering deserts. Along the way, the game delivers a full story with plot twists, revelations, and the kind of steady narrative escalation expected from a classic JRPG. Exploration is not simply a matter of moving between battles: each new area expands the world you are trying to understand while giving your team more opportunities to grow and prove its strengths.

The central loop combines exploration, creature collection, training, and careful turn-based combat.
