Do not farm Green Mushrooms early in IdleOn - Idle RPG. Grinding Spore Meadows in World 1 is only worthwhile once you unlock the Fungus Finger Pox node in the World 4 Laboratory and unlock high multikill tiers through the World 3 Death Note. Until you reach these milestones, leave Green Mushrooms alone and focus on pushing world portals, unlocking elite classes, and leveling your skills.

The Fungus Finger Pox Cash Multiplier

Green Mushrooms offer minimal base experience and copper coins on their own. They become valuable exclusively because of Fungus Finger Pox, a Mainframe Lab node in World 4.

This node provides an account-wide multiplier to monster coin drops:

  • The Bonus: For every 1,000,000 Green Mushroom kills recorded in your Death Note, Fungus Finger Pox grants a stacking global bonus to cash dropped by all monsters across every world.
  • The Scaling: This multiplier compounds with other cash bonuses, turning late-game mobs into massive sources of money.
  • The Target Use: Mid- and late-game progression requires substantial coin reserves for high-tier stamps, anvil production costs, town upgrades, and bribes.

Without Fungus Finger Pox active in the Lab, killing millions of Green Mushrooms provides no cash multiplier and wastes character progression time.

Death Note Multikill and AFK Mechanics

Accumulating millions of kills manually is inefficient. Effective farming relies on the Death Note building from World 3 Construction, which tracks mob family kills account-wide and introduces the multikill system.

Multikill activates when your maximum damage exceeds a monster's maximum health pool:

  • Damage Tiers: Because Green Mushrooms have extremely low base health, late-game characters can exceed the threshold by wide margins, unlocking maximum multikill tiers.
  • AFK Only: Multikill applies strictly to AFK kill gains. Active farming yields only one kill per spawned mob, whereas AFK sessions multiply each kill count based on your multikill percentage.
  • Respawn and Rates: Combining high damage tiers with mob respawn bonuses and high AFK gain rates allows a single character to register millions of kills per hour.

How to Prepare and Spend Time Candies

Because Spore Meadows is located in World 1, Time Candies function without restrictions. Do not burn candies on mushrooms until your character reaches peak hourly kill rates.

When ready to farm:

  1. Optimize Gear for AFK Kills: Equip your best AFK gain rate card sets, multikill gear, and raw damage buffs. Remove crystal spawn and drop rate gear, as crystal mobs do not count toward Green Mushroom tallies.
  2. Check AFK Info: Open your character's AFK Info screen while standing in Spore Meadows to confirm your hourly kill rate and verify you hit the map's capacity.
  3. Use Banked Candies: Consume one-hour, two-hour, and four-hour Time Candies sequentially. A properly built character can generate tens of millions of kills within a brief candy session.

Kill Milestones

Set specific stopping points based on your current account stage rather than farming indefinitely:

  • 100 Million Kills: The initial baseline milestone. This level provides a solid cash boost to fund World 4 and World 5 stamp upgrades, while satisfying requirements for Equinox Dreams and The Tome.
  • 1 Billion+ Kills: The late-game optimization tier. Only commit candies toward 1 billion or multi-billion kills when your character's damage tier and multikill rate allow you to generate tens of millions of AFK kills per hour. Stop once your monster coin income comfortably outpaces your immediate stamp and bribe costs.
