Randomly appearing Champions and skill cards are another important part of the roguelike structure. Because those options change from battle to battle, you must make situational decisions instead of following one fixed upgrade path. A run may call for immediate survivability against a dense wave, while another may reward concentrating on damage or improving the abilities of the units already fighting beside you. When the pressure rises, the game’s effortless controls and satisfying hits keep the action accessible, but the decisions behind your upgrades, skill cards, and formation still determine whether your legion can reach the Boss.

Collection and long-term improvement extend beyond individual battles. Resources can be gathered and used to enhance gear, including a wand, arrows, and a sword, giving you additional reasons to revisit the action and refine your preferred fighting style. Offline Rewards also provide valuable items while you are away, allowing your progression to continue between active sessions. Boss battles serve as clear tests of that preparation: they ask you to apply the power built through Summoner, Champion, and Minion upgrades while adapting to a more demanding opponent. On PC, the game’s vertical presentation benefits from a larger display because it makes it easier to follow your legion’s position, read the developing shape of enemy waves, and keep track of threats while gliding through the battleground. Keyboard-and-mouse input can also make repeated movement and directional adjustments feel more controlled, especially when you are trying to steer around incoming hordes while watching your units attack.
