To participate in the Days of Sunlight event in Sky: Children of the Light, travel to the Elevated Glade inside the Hidden Forest realm. When the event is active, interact with the event guide spirit located at Home or Aviary Village to take a direct teleport portal straight to the campsite.

If you prefer to fly manually, enter the Hidden Forest realm and pass through the tree hollow barrier before the broken bridge area to reach the glade. The event area requires no high wing wedge upgrades, allowing newer players to participate immediately.

Water Sliding and River Surfing

The Elevated Glade features a network of dynamic waterways, wooden ramps, and slides. Sliding down streams propels your Sky kid forward without expending wing energy.

For the most responsive steering, toggle your flight stance into glide mode before entering downstream currents. Specialized water props also modify your movement:

Movement TypeControl BehaviorPractical Use
Standard Water SlideAutomatic forward glide steered by water currentsQuick transit through the lower glade streams
Surfboard RidingHigher drift velocity with sharper turning responseSteering through tight river bends without losing momentum
Diving Board LaunchHigh vertical jump followed by a steep downward angleJumping cleanly into deep pools and performing flips

To gain air from river ramps, press the jump button precisely as you hit the crest of a natural drop. This launches your character into the air, where you can either spread your wings to glide onto elevated tree perches or dive back down into the stream.

Gathering Campfire Social Light

The campsite bonfire in the central clearing provides passive social Light. Floating Light particles release periodically from the flames, letting you forge regular Candles without running standard realm circuits:

  • Sit near the fire: Rest on the logs, cushions, or benches around the campfire to remain within collection radius of all rising wax particles.
  • Roast snacks: Interact with the roasting sticks over the fire to trigger idle social animations while collecting Light.
  • Mind the shared pool: Social Light at the campfire shares a daily wax cap with other idle social Light spots across the realms. Once the daily pool is exhausted, the fire stops rewarding wax until the next server reset.

Testing Props and Jam Spaces

Scattered across the glade are communal performance spaces and trial prop stations:

  • Music jam spaces: Clearings with seating and seasonal instruments let groups practice sheet music or play ensemble songs together in localized audio zones.
  • Trial spell stations: Before spending currency on permanent unlocks, visit the event stations to claim free, temporary spell versions of items such as surfboards, beach towels, and sun umbrellas.
  • Shade props: Placing umbrellas or canopy props near riverbanks creates sheltered recharge spots where players can socialize without leaving the activity zones.

Daily Event Currency and Purchasing Priorities

Unlocking limited-time event cosmetics and props requires event-specific tickets rather than standard realm Candles:

  1. Collect daily tickets: Search the Elevated Glade each day. Tickets appear along stream edges, on treehouse platforms, or as rewards for participating in campsite group activities.
  2. Prioritize functional items: Spend tickets on interactive equipment like the surfboard first. Functional water props retain their movement utility in water areas across the game after the event concludes.
  3. Pick up cosmetic accessories: Allocate remaining tickets toward cosmetic items such as event hats or capes once functional props are secured.
  4. Use Candle conversions if needed: If you miss daily ticket spawns near the end of the event window, check the event spirit's shop tree to purchase missing tickets using standard Candles.
