Operations is the game’s central high-stakes loop: enter a dynamic map, search for valuable loot, deal with armed mercenaries and bosses, survive rival Operator squads, and reach an extraction point with enough of your haul intact to make the raid worthwhile. Exploration is tied directly to problem-solving. You may decipher entry codes, climb to difficult positions for Bird Nests, or dive deep to salvage Clams, turning each location into more than a route between firefights. High-value loot creates pressure because the most dangerous opponents may be other players pursuing the same prize. A successful raid is therefore a matter of timing and judgment as much as aim. You can choose a dramatic Rocket Extraction, use a wingsuit to base jump away from danger, or crawl through long sewer pipes to leave unseen. These exits make escape part of the strategy rather than a routine final step, especially after a boss fight or a prolonged clash with another squad.

What you recover in Operations feeds into your longer-term progression. Loot can be used to upgrade the Operations Center, improving physical attributes, expanding stash capacity, and unlocking new gear. Those upgrades increase the options available on later deployments, allowing you to prepare for more ambitious raids without reducing the tension of losing a valuable run. The armory also supports extensive customization: real-world weapons can be modified into distinct builds, while land, sea, and air vehicles can be adjusted for different battlefield roles. This gives the collection and management systems a practical purpose. You are not only gathering equipment; you are deciding what to preserve, what to improve, and which configuration best suits your preferred way of playing.

Warfare offers a broader alternative when you want sustained front-line action instead of an extraction run. Up to 48 players clash across urban streets, mountain peaks, and expansive island terrain, with tanks and helicopters joining the infantry fight. The scale makes positioning, vehicle choice, and squad coordination important, while the destruction-focused maps create changing routes through the battlefield. On PC, the larger display is especially useful for scanning a wide map, tracking objectives and movement, comparing equipment and weapon attachments, and reading combat information without crowding the action. Keyboard-and-mouse controls also make it easier to switch between weapons and gadgets, make precise aim adjustments during a firefight, and respond quickly when a boss, rival Operator squad, or vehicle changes the situation.
