Swipebound on PC is a grid-based rogue-lite combat game built around one deceptively simple rule: every swipe moves everything on the board. You control a warrior who must collect weapons, avoid or defeat enemies, merge matching items, and survive for as many turns as possible while chasing the highest score. The grid is not just a movement space; it is the entire battlefield, inventory, puzzle, and timing system at once. Swiping into a sword picks it up, while sliding two matching swords together forges a higher-level weapon. Treasure chests can also be combined to multiply your gold, giving each turn several competing priorities. A move that places you closer to a weapon may also shift an enemy into attack range, push a valuable item away, or open a route for enemies entering from the edges. Since every tile moves with each swipe, successful runs depend on planning several moves ahead rather than reacting only to the current position.

Combat is governed by clear but unforgiving numbers. A Level 2 sword can defeat Level 2 enemies and anything below that tier, but swiping into a stronger enemy makes you take the hit. Enemies scale with every turn, and they can slide into your position after you vacate a tile, so collecting gear and maintaining a safe position are equally important. The kill streak bonus system rewards efficient attacks, while the deep enemy tier progression, ranging from Basic Enemy toward Ancient Enemy, steadily raises the pressure. Your long-term goal is therefore more than simply staying alive: you are balancing weapon upgrades, enemy levels, positioning, treasure collection, and score while trying to keep the board from becoming gridlocked. The three modes give that loop distinct forms. Squire uses a 5×5 grid with swords only and removes HP and damage, creating a pure survival puzzle in which positioning is everything and a blocked board ends the run. Adventure adds full bidirectional combat with swords and shields, revives, and a global leaderboard for the classic experience. Cursed compresses the action onto a 4×4 grid and removes revives, shop bonuses, and consumables, leaving you with one life and a separate high-stakes leaderboard.

Between attempts, Swipebound adds a persistent progression layer. Gold earned from treasure chests can be spent in the shop, Fortitude upgrades permanently increase your maximum HP, and the Starting Armory lets you begin future runs pre-equipped. Scrolls provide specialized ways to recover when the grid turns against you, including teleporting, swapping positions, or wiping the board clean. These systems make each run part of a broader cycle: survive, score, earn resources, strengthen your options, and return to test a more ambitious plan. Forty unlockable adventurer portraits give collection goals beyond the leaderboards, while global and friends leaderboards support both competitive score chasing and personal improvement. On PC, a larger display makes the whole grid easier to read at a glance, which matters when comparing sword levels, tracking enemy tiers, spotting treasure chests, and predicting how a swipe will shift every object at once. Keyboard-and-mouse input is also well suited to deliberate, repeated grid decisions: you can make each directional move precisely, pause mentally between turns, and inspect the board before committing to a pickup, merge, attack, or escape. That clarity is especially valuable in Cursed mode, where one misjudged move cannot be repaired, and in Adventure mode, where shields, revives, consumables, and score streaks compete for attention. With portrait and landscape support, three separate modes, no forced ads, and no paywalls, Swipebound presents its swipe-to-slide system as both a compact puzzle and a long-term survival challenge.
